Welcome to Cerrig Camu - Stepping Stones
Raising pupils’ awareness of MFL in the wider context of work and their Global Futures - the teacher & pupil feedback!
High school pupil feedback on visits from organisations and business who use a range of languages in the course of a normal day's work illustrates that they capture the imagination of pupils, allowing them to realise the importance of World Languages (MFL) in the workplace.
With both the world of work and sport the context through his company Signature Leather Tim Penn has developed a range of presentations to generate and provoke pupil conversations around the topic of Global Communication which are delivered in schools FE/HE across the UK.
30/6/26 - Pupil Feedback from Mme France Le Huquet, Ysgol Bro Dinefwr, Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire
Hello Tim! I hope you are well.
I did tell you that I would carry out a survey with my Y9 groups and you'll be happy to know that pupils ranked your visit top of all activities that pupils have found the most useful in choosing their options. Some of them wrote a few words that I thought you'd like to read (I did not correct their spelling or grammar):
- Tim, because he is inspiring for the future
- Tim Penn's workshop/visit i found to be much more engaging and enjoyable
- I enjoyed a workshop with TIm Penn because he told us a lot of information
- Tim Penn gave me more confidence to choose a language for GCSE
- Tim Penn helped me make my mind up
- Tim, because he made the learning interesting
I think this is conclusive and hopefully we can organise a visit for next year again.
